Bonjour. J'ne parlez beaucoup francais.
Makes AM chitchat in the coffee room quite limited. Curious custom here, everybody seems to shake everybody's hand first thing in the am. Cute. Also, arriving at 1000, nobody's here. Rather a contrast from NZ or the US.

Yes it is a little different from NZ/US. It gets even more interesting when they know you well enough to consider you a "kissing friend". The 10:00 or so start, with a later finish, also seems to be quite common, especially in summer.

BTW, I saw Ben X tonight. You definitely want to see it. Ideally in a theatre, or at least with a decent sound system. Considering it was made in Belgium, last year, you may be able to find a (Region 2) DVD either in France or Belgium. I was very impressed with how well the director/cinematographer did at getting you inside the head of the main character, while also letting you watch what others were seeing from outside.

Huh, cool, thanks for the tip. I'll have a poke for it, looks like it could be good entertainment on the flight back to LAX.
